The surgery department at Physicians Regional–Collier Boulevard has been designated as a Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (COEMIG) by the AAGL, the leading association promoting minimally invasive gynecologic surgery throughout the world. Our hospital is the first in the state of Florida to be awarded the designation.
Focused on improving the safety and quality of gynecologic patient care and lowering the overall costs associated with successful treatment, the COEMIG program is designed to expand patient awareness of and access to minimally invasive gynecologic procedures performed by surgeons and facilities that have demonstrated excellence in these advanced techniques. The experience of the surgeons, the hospital’s technology and equipment, and patient outcomes are among the many qualifications considered for the designation.
Less-invasive gynecologic surgical methods reduce the need for prolonged hospitalization and reduce the risk of surgical complications, which can lead to re-admission. As part of the COEMIG program participating facilities will submit patient outcomes to a database that will track effectiveness of treatments.

For all the joy, wonder and experience of being a woman, we're here for you every step of the way. Physicians Regional Women's Services brings together medical expertise, innovative technology and comprehensive services to address the unique needs of women of all ages who are embracing motherhood, maintaining wellness or making life transitions.
