Physicians Regional Healthcare System Names Skylar Casey Market Chief Operating Officer
9/4/2026
(Naples, Florida) 8/26/26 – Physicians Regional Healthcare System has named Skylar Casey, MHA, as its new market chief operating officer, bringing more than a decade of healthcare leadership and operational experience to the organization’s executive team.
Casey joins Physicians Regional following her most recent role as vice president of operations at HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast, a multi-campus healthcare system in Pasadena, Texas. There, she provided executive leadership for hospital operations, strategic service-line initiatives, capital projects, compliance and staffing.
“Skylar brings an impressive skill set and fresh perspective to Physicians Regional,” said Scott Lowe, the healthcare system’s Market CEO. “Perhaps most important: she will roll up her sleeves and get things done. Her ability to engage at all levels within the organization promises to lead to even better overall outcomes.”
Casey’s professional background includes experience across nearly every aspect of hospital operations, including clinical service lines, patient flow, staffing, facilities, capital investments, performance improvement and the development of new programs and services.
“My background has taught me to look at healthcare through both an operational and a patient-centered lens: Where are the barriers? What can we simplify? How can we better support our physicians and caregivers so they can focus on caring for patients?” Casey said. “My goal is ultimately to help make the healthcare experience safer, more efficient and more compassionate. I’m excited to support the team’s efforts at Physicians Regional as we pursue this goal together.”
Casey earned a Master of Health Administration and a Bachelor of Science in biomedical science from Texas A&M University. She has also supported community organizations including the American Heart Association, March of Dimes, and Rotary.
Physicians Regional Healthcare System’s three Naples hospitals provide quality care to the Naples and the greater Southwest Florida community with the objective of offering more options and improved access to healthcare for all citizens and visitors.
More than 700 physicians practice at Physicians Regional hospitals, offering advanced medical care in more than 45 specialties and subspecialties, including programs in 24-hour emergency care, cardiology, vascular disease, digestive diseases, orthopedic care, spine care, neurosurgery, and women's services.
